If you’ve never been to a circle before here’s a little taste of what happens…
You arrive to a big hello and I’ll tell you to sit down anywhere, and I’ll pour you a cup of tea.
Once everyone is in circle, we start with a simple grounding in practice and opening ritual.
This might look like, lighting a candle and placing it in the centre altar, saying your name and what you are hoping to get out of the circle.
I’ll crack some jokes to dispel the anxious energy (there are always women coming to their very first circle who are nervous AF!)
I’ll introduce the theme (I choose this after I get a feel for who is coming, but it’s usually to do with the changing seasons and cycles of life).
Everyone has a chance to share around the theme, with no pressure to talk if it’s not your thing.
There will be a guided meditation and drum journey, which will be explained. You can’t do it wrong.
In between, there’s cake and laughter and this beautiful sense of connection, a place where you feel less alone.
Usually…women who come to their first circle get hooked and can’t wait to come back!
