Starting Women’s Circles Takes Time — And That’s Okay

Starting women’s circles and seeing a flourishing attendance doesn’t happen overnight.

I could sell you the dream and probably see more enrolments in Together, my women’s circle facilitator training — but that’s not my jam.

Honestly? It’s going to take more than three tries!

Sure, there are exceptions — especially women who are already big community makers and finally start circles after being asked for years. But for most of us, it’s going to take a combination of consistency, relationship building, marketing, and mindset work.

When I moved to a brand new community in 2023, I gave myself 12 months to establish my circles. I used all the tools and strategies I teach inside Together — from creating safe, beautiful spaces to building community connections and showing up online with intention.

It wasn’t instant. It was up and down. But after a full year of committing to the process and giving it a red hot crack, I sold out a closed yearly circle of 17 women within 5 days.

Unfortunately, I often see women give up after a couple of low-attendance circles, instead of doubling down and exploring ways to increase awareness, get braver in their visibility and marketing, make more connections, collaborate, be creative with promotion, or tweak the way they’re sharing about their circles.

Give yourself time.

Women’s circles can become a flourishing, heart-centred part of your business and a beautiful source of extra income. But it’s not always effortless.

It might require some shadow work, fears to overcome, and resilience when things don’t go to plan.

There’s no shame in the trying game. Keep going. Keep experimenting. Keep calling in your circle of women.

It’s worth it.
