It can feel challenging to go against the grain and homeschool, choosing something different for your family.

Surrounding yourself with other homeschoolers is often crucial to maintaining long-term sustainability, ensuring you don’t burn out, helping you stay connected to your values, and forming friendships and community for yourself and your children.

Creating a homeschool co-op, where several committed families come together to provide engaging learning and play opportunities for children and parents, can be a wonderful way to enrich your homeschooling life.

We aren’t meant to do any of this alone.

WORKSHOP ON WEDNESDAY 27TH NOVEMBER 10AM - 12PM (AEDT)

Join Kim from The Farm Village and Rachael, for an interactive 2-hour workshop and Q&A where we will provide loads of practical guidance and tips on how to start your own homeschooling co-op.

WHY Are WE FACILITATING THIS WORKSHOP?

Kim of The Farm Village has been running a beautiful homeschool co-op at her farm property, over the last 3 years. This has evolved from early beginnings with a few friends, to a committed group of 10 families and 30+ children. She has so much wisdom to share with you as you take the steps to creating your own co-op.

Rachael joined The Farm Village co-op 18 months ago, and it has been an absolute dream to be welcomed in and part of a new paradigm of “schooling”. She has found a safe landing place for herself and her two children and looks forward to attending every week. She wants others to experience the benefits of homeschooling in community.

Kim and Rachael receive messages every week asking them how the co-op began, how it’s run, and how they can start their own.

We’ve got you!

MEET YOUR FACILITATORS

As a mother of three, I embrace a sustainable lifestyle that fosters a deep connection to nature. My creativity is woven into our daily lives, enhancing our home and encouraging resilience. Together, we thrive and grow with the people around us while raising independent thinkers and building a strong sense of community.
My kids’ education journey began in the school system, where I realised there was more to enriching their lives. Reflecting on the invaluable guidance of many mentors throughout my life and inspired by my husband’s farming background, I’ve focused on community engagement through skill-share workshops, helping others discover their own creative potential.

Creator of The Farm Village
Like many parents in the homeschooling community, I have a background in education, but left my teaching degree after I saw a clash in the evidence around natural learning and development, and what was possible in a traditional classroom setting. Our family has been homeschooling from the beginning, which has at times felt edgy and uncomfortable.
Surrounding myself with other homeschooling families and focusing on building community for my family and my kids, has been a top priority. I lean towards an unschooling philosophical approach, child-led, full of curiosity and nature-based.

As a women's circle facilitator, I know the power of coming together, sharing skills and resources and supporting each other in this one precious life.

HAVE YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Immerse yourself in a workshop with other aligned homeschooling families, and families wanting to homeschool in the future.

Get practical advice, ideas and encouragement from Kim and Rachael.

Can I ask questions?

Yes, you have the opportunity to submit questions before the workshop. We will also have time for a Q&A live during the call.

What if I can't make the call live?

That’s fine, a replay will be available within 24 hours. You can watch at your own leisure, with lifetime access.

Will I need to build community?

Yes! This is kind of the whole point. Creating a homeschool co op does require commitment and dedication to finding and creating this with other humans. It doesn’t happen with no effort, but it’s so worth it.
